BALTIMORE - Two suspects in a Pennsylvania gun store burglary were arrested Tuesday in Baltimore with a car full of guns after they were chased by police, wrecked their vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

Police received a tip that there had been a burglary at Saxton Outdoor Supply in Saxton, Pa., early Monday, and that the men planned sell the guns about 150 miles to the southeast in Baltimore, according to Baltimore Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goog-lee-EL-mee).

The department gave officers a description of the car the men used, and officers spotted it in the city. When the men realized police were following them, a brief chase occurred about 4 a.m. Tuesday before the men crashed into a parked car in the West Hills neighborhood, Guglielmi said.

The suspects were admitted to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center. One man was in critical but stable condition and the other was in serious but stable condition, Guglielmi said. Their names were not immediately released. No one else was injured in the collision.

Police found 29 guns in the car, including a loaded gun under one of the seats. Officers also found drugs in the car.

A report by Pennsylvania State Police said surveillance video of the break-in showed a car backing into the front door of the store, knocking the door off its hinges. A suspect wearing a hooded jacket broke a glass case containing handguns and took the weapons.
