PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Nineteen soldiers from Fort Lee are returning home for the holidays.
The soldiers from the Army's 612th Movement Control Detachment are due home from Afghanistan before dawn on Thursday. The detachment is returning home after a nine- month deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The 612th is part of the 530th Combat Sustainment Support Brigade and one of the few deployable units based at Fort Lee.
