LINTHICUM, Md. - Maryland transit officials say an unattended bag temporarily halted rail service to Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The Maryland Transit Administration says train service was suspended around 6 a.m. Tuesday and resumed by 7 a.m. after officers determined the package did not pose a threat to passengers. MTA spokesman Terry Owens told The Baltimore Sun ( http://bsun.md/TGOioU) that two trains were affected.
The BWI train station serves passengers on Maryland's MARC line and Amtrak's Northeast Corridor route. The suspension affected trains on the MARC Penn line.
