WASHINGTON - The District of Columbia's first Costco is opening.
The Washington Post ( http://wapo.st/UdOcFS) reports the wholesale chain opens its store in northwest Washington on Thursday. The 154,000-square-foot store is on Market Street NE near the intersection of New York Avenue and South Dakota Avenue. Membership costs $55 a year.
Costco has more than 600 stores worldwide including approximately 450 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico.
