Public hearing Monday on Va. port privatization

NORFOLK, Va. - The Virginia Port Authority is holding a public hearing on proposals to privatize some of the port's operations.
The hearing is set for Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nauticus in Norfolk.
Representatives of APM Terminals Inc. and a group headed by JP Morgan Chase & Co. will speak about their proposals during the hearing.
The Virginian-Pilot ( http://bit.ly/YNAv71) reports that the authority also is considering a plan to restructure its relationship with the current operator, Virginia International Terminals Inc.
