RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Richmond woman has been ordered to perform 500 hours of community service for a hit-and-run death.
A judge also revoked 37-year-old Jennifer Jon Slemp's driver's license for one year Wednesday. She was given a two-year suspended sentence.
Slemp was found guilty in August of leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury or death.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/YLkThO) reports Slemp's car struck 25-year-old David M. Boyd and his friend, Brendan Ellis, in the city's Shockoe Bottom area on April 21. Boyd was killed.
