WASHINGTON - Authorities say a man has drowned in the Potomac River near Virginia's Riverbend Park.
Montgomery County police say the drowning happened Friday. Police did not immediately identify the man but said he was in his late teens or early 20s.
Police say the man apparently entered the water south of Riverbend Park and waded to the middle of the river, where he became trapped.
Police say there is no immediate sign of foul play.
