WASHINGTON - Police say they have made a quick arrest in the killing of a 45- year-old Maryland man in southwest Washington over the weekend.
D.C. police say 27-year-old Leon Allen Smith of northeast was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the killing of 45-year-old Stephan Manuel Pool of Upper Marlboro on Sunday.
Police say they were called to the 200 block of N Street in southwest about 12:10 a.m. Arriving officers found Pool suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
