OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Ocean City Town Council has decided to shop around for other advertising agencies after the November election.
The resort city has for years been using the Baltimore-based agency MGH, which created a campaign starring a lifeguard named Rodney who rescued people from their daily lives and took them to the beach. MGH's year-to-year contract had been scheduled to be automatically renewed.
In 2009, the council also decided to look around for a new agency and ended up resuming its partnership with MGH.
Council President Jim Hall tells The Daily Times of Salisbury ( http://tinyurl.com/8exqjlh) that he welcomes another opportunity to interview ad agencies.
MGH President Andy Malis has said his firm deserves to have its contract renewed.
