BLACKSBURG, Va. - An engineering building under construction on the Virginia Tech campus now has a big engine to show off.
Rolls-Royce has donated a Trent 1000 jet engine that is displayed 15 feet above the foyer in the Signature Engineering Building. Construction remains ongoing around the engine area.
WSLS-TV ( http://bit.ly/Nhsxdn) reports the company hopes the gift inspires students to pursue careers in science and engineering.
