WAYNESBORO, Va. (AP) - Two bear cubs found in Chesapeake are scheduled to be released back into the wild Friday.

>The Virginian-Pilot reports that the cubs were found off Highway 17 on July 10, without their mother. They were taken to the Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro, where they were examined and treated for injuries.

The wildlife center says the cubs have spent the past week getting comfortable with other bears in an outdoor pen. They originally were expected to be released in August, but the release date was moved up because of a glut of bears currently living in the center's two pens.

The cubs, along with three other bears, will be released together Friday. A location has not been announced.
