WASHINGTON - Virginia State Police say two people have been killed in separate accidents on Interstate 95 in Prince William County.
Police say they were called to a single-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of the interstate about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say the driver of a van with nine passengers on board lost control of the vehicle and ran off the left side of the roadway. The van hit a guardrail, overturning at least twice.
Authorities say one passenger died at the scene, and another eight were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Police say the driver, 29-year-old Job J. Diaz-Lemus, has been charged with reckless driving.
Police say another person was killed in a three-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes near Dale City about 7:45 a.m.
