D.C. police: Arrest made in Northwest homicide

WASHINGTON - Police in the District of Columbia say an arrest has been made in a death that occurred earlier this month in Northwest.
The Metropolitan Police Department says 40-year-old Herbert Hayes was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old John Wesley Griffin.
Police say Griffin was found stabbed May 18 in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street. Griffin was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
