WASHINGTON - Online court records in a $20 million federal bribery and kickback case show a plea hearing has been scheduled for a former Army Corps of Engineers employee.
The records show that Kerry F. Khan is scheduled to appear Thursday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Washington.
An indictment unsealed in October charged Khan, his son Lee and two other men in a scheme to defraud the Army Corps of Engineers through bogus and inflated invoices. Prosecutors say the men split the proceeds of the scheme on personal luxuries.
A lawyer for Khan did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Wednesday evening.
