Extra Metro service starts this month

WASHINGTON – This month, Metro launches a new rush-hour service known as “Rush Plus” on some lines.

The whole idea behind Rush Plus is to have more trains serving the busiest directions of rush-hour commutes.

“If there’s one thing that we want customers to know, it is that checking the train’s destination is the key to getting where you need to go,” says Metro spokesman Dan Stessel.

Twenty-one stations on the Green, Yellow, Blue and Orange lines will see more trains during rush hours. Only the Arlington Cemetery Station will see a decrease.

Thew new service is set to officially start on June 18.

The map showing the new service can be viewed below.
