BALTIMORE - Baltimore police say a body has been discovered on the grounds of Windsor Hills Elementary School in the northwest part of the city.
The school was closed for the day after the discovery was made early Friday morning. The body was found before the school opened for the day.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the victim was a man age 18 to 20. He says police received reports of gunfire in the area on Thursday night, but patrol officers didn't find anything when they searched the area. Detectives on the scene Friday confirmed that the victim had been shot.
The school is located several blocks from the heavily wooded area of Leakin Park.
