WASHINGTON - Police in the District of Columbia are continuing to seek a man who shot and injured a Rite Aid employee after announcing a robbery.
The incident happened Friday afternoon at a Rite Aid in the 1400 block of Rhode Island Ave, NE.
Police say an armed man entered the store, announced a robbery and shot an employee before fleeing. The employee was critically injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police on Friday night released a video clip of the incident.
The suspect is wanted for an assault with intent to kill. Police describe him as a black male between the ages of 45 and 55 and say he was last seen wearing an off-white or khaki baseball cap, a red-hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants and black shoes.
