Friday - 4/13/2012, 6:17am  ET

WASHINGTON - D.C. police want the public's help in their investigation of an incident in which a woman was sexually assaulted in Southeast Washington late Wednesday night.

Police say the assault occurred in the 1600 block of 21st Place.

Police says the suspect is in his late teens to mid-20s and was last seen wearing a royal blue athletic jacket with hood and multiple white stripes running from the shoulder to the sleeve, and a pair of multi-colored long pajama pants. He had a pair of white tennis shoes and a black baseball cap with New York Yankees logo.

Police say a tipster who offers information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the assault would be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
