SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk police are searching for a thief who stole a car with a baby inside and then left the child on a doorstep.
Police say the 9-month-old boy wasn't injured.
The incident occurred Tuesday night.
The child's mother, Lichella Harris, tells media outlets that someone stole her boyfriend's car from in front of her home while her son was inside the vehicle.
Police say the baby was left on a doorstep at a residence two blocks away.
Authorities found the car Wednesday morning in a wooded area.
