BALTIMORE - Police say a man was shot in the chest during a store robbery in Baltimore and that they are searching for two suspects who fled on foot.
Detective Donny Moses, a police spokesman, says police were called to a Royal Farms on Harford Road for a report of shots fired about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday. Moses says officers found the 46-year-old victim inside and that he was taken to a hospital. The man's identity and condition have not been released.
Authorities were told by witnesses that two men, one of whom had a silver handgun, robbed the store of cash and cigarettes before fleeing.
At some point, Moses says the customer was shot in the chest.
He says police are reviewing video surveillance footage from the store.
