PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police say a dog stolen with a car in December has been reunited with his owners.
The owners called police on Friday after hearing from a person who said he had found their dog, Cody. Detectives accompanied the owners to meet with the caller at a neutral location and retrieve the dog.
Cody's owner left the dog in his car on the 6500 block of Sheriff Road in the Landover area on Dec. 12. But when he returned, the car had been stolen with the dog still inside. The car was found nearby a short time later, but Cody was still missing.
Police are still investigating the theft of the car.
