LYNCHBURG, Va. - A lack of student interest and limited job opportunities have grounded Liberty University's helicopter pilot training program.
Liberty plans to eliminate the program, which began in 2008 as a concentration for aeronautics majors.
Liberty School of Aeronautics dean Dave Young tells The News and Advance ( http://bit.ly/xRADqr) that only a fraction of the aeronautics students were in the program.
Young says the program is expensive to operate and the money can be better uses elsewhere.
