D.C. police make arrests in 3 separate killings

WASHINGTON - D.C. police have made arrests in three separate killings that occurred this month and earlier this year.

The Washington Post reports http://wapo.st/shbcDGthat police announced the murder arrests Tuesday.

Police say 19-year-old Harold Proctor of Upper Marlboro, Md., is charged with felony murder in the Dec. 17 fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Kevin Blackwell Jr. in Southeast Washington.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Andrew Wesley Williams faces a first-degree murder charge in the May 14 fatal shooting of 30-year-old Junon Tyree Snead in Northeast Washington.

The Post says police also charged 23-year-old Anthony Speight with first-degree murder in the Jan. 19 fatal shooting of 33-year-old William Mitchell, who was found at North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue.
