Baltimore homicide count hits 100 for 2012

BALTIMORE - Baltimore police say the city's homicide count has hit 100, with authorities lacking suspects in two most recent cases.
Police say about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, 18-year-old Tavon Whelchel was found in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died at Shock Trauma.
About 2 a.m. Wednesday, 36-year-old Lewis Womack IV was found in front of a home with gunshot wounds to his torso. He died at Sinai Hospital.
The Baltimore Sun reports ( http://bsun.md/L6cYBA) at this point last year, Baltimore had 96 homicides.
