Va. logger killed by falling tree limb

NEW KENT, Va. - Authorities are investigating a fatal logging accident in New Kent County.
The New Kent County Sheriff's Office tells WAVY-TV ( http://bit.ly/yqIO7g) that a falling tree limb struck 61-year-old Clayton Leon Boyd of Brodnax on Thursday. Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred in woods in the 5100 block of New Kent Highway.
Boyd's body was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Richmond.
He was the owner of Boyd Tree Service.
Sheriff F.W. Howard Jr. says the Virginia Department of Labor also is investigating the accident.
