WASHINGTON - Drivers sitting in traffic on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway are about to get some more company.
A new restaurant is set to open this month at the Arundel Preserve development just off the parkway near Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. A hotel, high-end apartments, stores and offices also are part of the project, which will cover nearly 270 acres.
The homes and office space are near Arundel Mills Mall, as well as a space slated for a new slots parlor.
The project also is just down the road from Fort Meade, which is adding about 7,000 workers as part of a Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC) move.
