WASHINGTON -- The Redskins are offering what appears to be an unbeatable deal: Save $1,000 each time friends or family purchase a new pair of premium season tickets. Eligible seat-holders also will get free tickets to a special event at the FedExField.
Dave McKenna, Washington City Paper columnist, sees the referral program as a sign that club seats are a tough sell.
"The waiting list and sellout streak are two of the bigger myths that are right up there with Elvis is still around," he says. "If you can find somebody who can sell ten club seats in this environment, they deserve more than $1,000 a pop."
The Redskins say this year will be another sellout, but premium seats do not count toward those statistics.
