Former housing director sentenced to 3 years

GREENBELT, Md. - A former Prince George's County housing director has been sentenced to three years and one month in prison for his role in a corruption scheme involving former county executive Jack Johnson.
James Johnson pleaded guilty to asking for and accepting tens of thousands of dollars in bribes from developers.
The 67-year-old Johnson was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt. He's due to report to prison in June.
The Washington Post reports that Johnson said in court he made a "terrible mistake" that he will always regret.
James Johnson is not related to Jack Johnson, who is serving a sentence of more than seven years for extorting several hundred thousand dollars in bribes from developers and accepting gifts. Jack Johnson's wife, Leslie Johnson, is serving a one-year sentence.
