Suns and Rockets pull off deal...Good night of NBA play...Reds turn thumbs down for Cueto

PHOENIX (AP) -- In a trading deadline deal the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets have pulled off a transaction. The deal sends Marcus Morris to the Suns, where he will join his identical twin brother Markieff (MAR'-keef). The Suns sent a 2013 second-round draft pick to Houston to get Marcus Morris, who was the 14th pick in the 2011 draft.

UNDATED (AP) -- NBA fans have their hands full tonight with two good games. In Chicago the Bulls are facing Miami's Heat while in Los Angeles the Clippers are going up against the Spurs. San Antonio has the best mark in the league at 43-12.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- It has been announced that for the first time ever the twin Daytona qualifying races will take place under the lights next year. This year's races are being contested this afternoon in preparation for Sunday's Daytona 500.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cincinnati Reds have told pitcher Johnny Cueto (KWAY'-toh) that he can't pitch for the Dominican Republic in next month's World Baseball Classic. The Reds have the right to block Cueto's participation because he finished last season with an injury.

UNDATED (AP) -- Duke is the highest-ranked team in action tonight in college basketball. The sixth-ranked Blue Devils are on the road for a game at Virginia Tech. In the other game this evening, No. 23 Oregon is home to California.
