MIAMI (AP) -- Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Chauncey Billups of the Los Angeles Clippers have returned from injuries to play against the Miami Heat this evening. Paul missed the previous nine games with a bruised right kneecap, Griffin's strained left hamstring caused him to miss two straight games and Billups has been bothered by left foot tendinitis. Meanwhile, the Heat will be without Ray Allen and Chris Bosh, both sidelined with the flu.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit rookie Andre Drummond is expected to miss four to six weeks because of a stress fracture in his back. The 6-foot-11 Drummond is averaging 7.3 points and 7.5 rebounds this season. He was selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge as part of NBA's All-Star Weekend later this month.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Carolina Panthers are receiving financial support under a plan that will prevent them from relocating in the near future. Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx says the city council has agreed to a plan that would give the team nearly $144 million from a food-and-beverage tax hike to pay for upgrades to its downtown stadium. The money would be paid over 15 years and requires the team to stay in Charlotte for that period of time.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Brandt Snedeker and Ted Potter Jr. are co-leaders at the midway point of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Snedeker shot a 4-under-par 68 today to move to minus-8 as he tries to earn a victory following runner-up finishes the last two weeks. Hunter Mahan (MAY'-han), Fredrik Jacobson, John Merrick and Patrick Reed share third at 7-under.

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- Bernhard Langer and Tom Pernice (pur-NEES') Jr. share the lead through one round of the Allianz Championship in Florida. Langer birdied three of his final four holes and Pernice played a six-hole stretch at 6-under before each signed off on a 6-under-par 66. Rocco Mediate and Bart Bryant are part of a six-way tie for third, firing 67s in their Champions Tour debuts.
