NFL forecasts for week 6

WASHINGTON – We are lucking out with this NFL forecast for week 6.

Thanks to scheduling and locations of this Sunday’s home games, we are dodging some weather bullets. There will be one or two games that could be impacted by the weather but other than that, none of the games really face pressing weather.

1:00 p.m. EST

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans: LP Field: There is the only game where weather could be a major factor. A stalled front will bring areas of rain, including storms, to the Nashville area. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s and I do believe there will be a little bit of sun but that will only fuel instability for some afternoon storms. I give it about a 40 to 50 percent chance of seeing some rain during the game. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s and it will be just a little on the humid side throughout the duration of the game.

Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Raymond – James Stadium: Looking at some pretty nice conditions in Tampa with plenty of sunshine and a light wind out of the east. Temperatures in the first quarter will hover in the mid 80s, rising to near 90 by the fourth. It will be a little on the humid side with the heat index or what it feels like outside in the lower 90s.

Denver Broncos v New York Jets: MetLife Stadium: A little on the cool side but a nice fall day in Jersey with temperatures around 60 at the start and increasing to the mid 60s by the end of the game. Winds will be light wind high pressure in charge giving way to lots of sunshine.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings: TCF Bank Stadium: A great day at the University of Minnesota! Not too bad with temperatures in the upper 50s through the game. A mix of sun and clouds during the game and a little on the breezy side with southerly winds of 10 to 20 mph throughout the game. Other than that, there will be a disturbance spinning through late in the afternoon that could give way to some rain showers after 4 p.m. but the game should remain dry!

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills: Ralph Wilson Stadium: All sunshine as high pressure is in charge. Looking at a very light southeasterly wind with temperatures rising through the 50s during the game.

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals: Paul Brown Stadium: With only a slight chance of rain after the 2nd quarter, the weather for this game is another winner. Temperatures in the low 60s with southeast wind at 5 to 10 mph. Skies will have more clouds than sunshine.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns: First Energy Stadium: Starting off the game partly cloudy, the clouds will decrease bringing mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be in the mid 50s with winds out of the north at 5-10 mph.

Green Bay Packers at Miami Dolphins: SunLife Stadium: Not looking at a rain threat in Miami–for once! However, there will be some winds around. Temperatures will be steady around 85 degrees with a heat index of 92. Winds will be slightly breezy out of the northeast at 15 mph with possible gusts up to 20 mph. Other than that, partly cloudy skies will be on tap throughout the game.

4:05 p.m. EST

San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders: Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum: Plenty of sunshine for this game with almost perfect conditions: temperatures in the mid 70s for most of the game with a WSW wind at 5 to 10 mph

4:25 p.m. EST

Washington Redskins face the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Arizona and as usual, it is going to be a warm one. Temperatures will be around 90 with full sunshine on Sunday for the afternoon game. Although the Cardinals play in a domed stadium, it will be hot leading up to the game. Not expecting any major weather problems.

Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks: CenturyLink Field: Although there will be plenty of clouds around for this game, it will remain dry. Temperatures will rise from the lower 60s to the mid 60s during the game. Winds will be fairly light, out of the southwest at 5 mph.

8:30 p.m. EST

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles: Lincoln Financial Field: Partly clouds will be on tap for this great NFC East Match up on Sunday Night Football. Temperatures will be steady in the upper to mid 50s. Winds will be light with a sunset time of 6:28 p.m.
