CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher and former Redskin Rick "Doc" Walker are teaming up to raise awareness about how people can apply for health insurance.
The two appeared at a news conference in Capitol Heights on Tuesday to promote a new 211 phone number that will connect people with someone who can help them find coverage.
Vincent DeMarco, president of the Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative Education Fund, says the radio ad is playing in the District of Columbia media market, which includes Maryland and northern Virginia. DeMarco says the group is spending $400,000 on the ads.
