GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers scratched safety Morgan Burnett for Sunday's home opener against the Washington Redskins.
Burnett will sit out for a second straight week with a sore hamstring. He was limited in practice this week.
M.D. Jennings will slide to free safety again for Burnett, while Jerron McMillian will start at strong safety. Without Burnett last week, the Packers' secondary was burned by quarterback Colin Kaepernick and receiver Anquan Boldin in a 34-28 loss to the 49ers.
Defensive backs Jarrett Bush and Casey Hayward were also inactive with hamstring injuries.
The Redskins scratched kicker Kai Forbath, who was bothered by a sore groin Thursday in practice. John Potter will kick in his place, a day after he signed with Washington. He also kicked for the Redskins in the preseason.
Also inactive for the Packers were linebacker Nate Palmer, guard Lane Taylor and defensive ends Josh Boyd and C.J. Wilson. Johnny Jolly will get the start at left end for a second straight week for Wilson, a healthy scratch.
Also inactive for the Redskins were quarterback Rex Grossman, running back Evan Royster, guard Josh LeRibeus, nose tackle Chris Neild and safeties Jordan Pugh and Jose Gumbs.
