LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Officials in Maryland are warning travelers about traffic ahead of the first Washington Redskins home game of the season.

Monday's game begins just before 7 p.m. at FedEx Field off the Capital Beltway in Landover. The Maryland State Highway Administration is urging drivers to plan ahead and consider carpooling or riding Metro because of traffic. Officials also suggest travelers leave early and plan alternate routes.

The Redskins are playing the Philadelphia Eagles.
