Passing

–Andrew Luck, Colts, was 31 for 39 for 370 yards and four touchdown passes in Indianapolis’ 44-17 win over Jacksonville. Luck and Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas (Nov. 12, 1967) are the only players in franchise history to complete at least 75 percent of their passes for 350 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a game.

–Nick Foles, Eagles, finished 27 for 41 for 325 yards and three touchdown passes in Philadelphia’s 37-34 win over Washington. Kirk Cousins, Redskins, was 30 for 48 for 427 yards and three touchdown passes and an interception.

–Drew Brees, Saints, was 27 for 35 for 293 yards and two touchdown passes in New Orleans’ 20-9 victory over Minnesota.

Rushing

–Rashad Jennings, Giants, had 34 carries for 176 yards and a touchdown in New York’s 30-17 win over Houston.

–Knile Davis, Chiefs, had 32 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City’s 34-15 win over Miami. Lamar Miller, Dolphins, had 15 carries for 108 yards.

–DeMarco Murray, Cowboys, finished with 24 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown in Dallas’ 34-31 win over St. Louis.

–Lorenzo Taliaferro, Ravens, had 18 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore’s 23-21 win over Cleveland.

–Jeremy Maclin, Eagles, had eight catches for 154 yards and a touchdown in Philadelphia’s 37-34 win over Washington. Pierre Garcon, Redskins, had 11 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown, and DeSean Jackson added five catches for 117 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown.

–Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos, had 11 catches for 149 yards in Denver’s 26-20 overtime loss to Seattle.

–DeAndre Hopkins, Texans, had six catches for 116 yards in Houston’s 30-17 loss to the Giants. Victor Cruz, Giants, had five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.

–A.J. Green, Bengals, had six catches for 102 yards in Cincinnati’s 33-7 victory over Tennessee.

–Chris Polk, Eagles, returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown in Philadelphia’s 37-34 win over Washington.

–Justin Tucker, Ravens, was 3 for 3 on field goals, including the game-winning 32-yarder as time expired in Baltimore’s 23-21 win over Cleveland.

–Greg Toler, Colts, returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown in Indianapolis’ 44-17 victory over Jacksonville.

–Don Carey, Lions, returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown in Detroit’s 19-7 win over Green Bay.

–Bruce Carter, Cowboys, returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown in Dallas’ 34-31 win over St. Louis. Janoris Jenkins, Rams, returned an INT 25 yards for a score.

MILESTONES

This is the first time each of the first three weeks of a season has had a comeback win of at least 17 points since 1982. … The Eagles are the first NFL team to start a season 3-0 after trailing by 10-plus points in each game. … The Dallas Cowboys erased a 21-0 deficit to defeat St. Louis 34-31. This marked the fourth time this season a team has overcome a deficit of at least 17 points to win, tied for the most through the first three weeks of a season since the 1970 merger (2011). Dallas’ comeback was the largest in regulation in franchise history. … The Patriots’ Tom Brady earned his 150th victory as a starting quarterback and he joined Brett Favre (186) and Peyton Manning (169) as the only quarterbacks to accomplish the feat. Brady is 57-5 in his past 62 home games, including the playoffs. … With his 45th career 100-yard game, Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith tied Isaac Bruce for 10th on the all-time list.

STREAKS & STATS

The Patriots held off the Raiders 16-9 and won their home opener for the 12th time in 13 seasons. … The Raiders lost their 15th straight game in the Eastern time zone. … The Saints have won their past 18 home games in which coach Sean Payton was on the sideline. … Jacksonville suffered its fourth consecutive double-digit loss and the 21st in the team’s past 35 games. The Jaguars have been outscored 119-27 since leading Philadelphia 17-0 at halftime in the season opener. … Cincinnati set a club record with its 11th straight regular-season win at home. The Bengals (3-0) are off to their best start in eight years. … Arizona snapped a four-game losing streak to San Francisco and beat the 49ers for just the second time in their past 11 meetings.

SIDELINED

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel fractured several bones in his left foot during a scramble in the second quarter of a 20-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Cassel was 5 of 10 for 53 yards before leaving. … San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead hurt his right ankle in a 22-10 win over the Buffalo Bills. Quarterback Philip Rivers said he expects Woodhead to miss at least a few weeks. Woodhead was hurt on a 1-yard run, when he was stopped by diving defensive tackle Kyle Williams. Williams hit Woodhead directly in the ankle, which appeared to twist underneath the player. … Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta was taken to a hospital with a potentially serious hip injury. Pitta, who played only four games last season after dislocating his right hip in training camp, appeared to re-injure the same hip after catching a short pass from Joe Flacco late in the first half of a 23-21 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Dalton became the first NFL quarterback to score on a catch since Kansas City’s Tyler Thigpen in 2008.
