CINCINNATI (AP) — Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Green aggravated an injured toe during the Cincinnati Bengals’ opening series Sunday and was declared out for the rest of the game.

Green missed practice time during the week with an injured toe on his right foot. He started against the Falcons, but came to the sideline after a few plays to have the foot examined. He walked off without assistance, limping slightly. The Bengals said he wouldn’t return.

The Bengals already were missing receiver Marvin Jones, sidelined by a broken foot, and tight end Tyler Eifert, who injured his right elbow in the season opener and is out until at least midseason.

The Bengals lost two more players in the second quarter. Defensive tackle Brandon Thompson hurt his left knee, and tight end Alex Smith hurt his left biceps. Both were declared out for the rest of the game.

Right guard Kevin Zeitler hurt his right calf while blocking on Giovani Bernard’s 4-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter, walked off stiffly and didn’t return.

Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict left in the second half with a pinched nerve in his neck after taking a teammate’s knee to the helmet. Burfict suffered a concussion in a season-opening win at Baltimore and missed practice during the week.
