LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Rookie quarterback Kirk Cousins, forced into service when fellow rookie Robert Griffin III went down with a sprained knee, rallied the Washington Redskins to their fourth straight victory, 31-28 in overtime over Baltimore. Cousins hit Pierre Garcon (gahr-SOHN') for an 11-yard touchdown pass with 29 seconds to play before running for the two-point conversion that sent the game to OT.
CINCINNATI (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys put a weekend team tragedy behind them and rallied from nine points down in the final minutes to edge Cincinnati 20-19 on Dan Bailey's 40-yard field goal at the final gun. The Cowboys took a moment of silence before the game to honor teammate Jerry Brown, who died in an auto accident early Saturday. Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent, who was driving, was released from jail in Irving, Texas, on Sunday.
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Even the return of Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH'-lihs-bur-gur) at quarterback couldn't help the Pittsburgh Steelers from dropping to 7-6. Philip Rivers tossed three TD passes and San Diego snapped a four-game slid eby upsetting the Steelers 34-24 at Heinz Field.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The San Francisco 49ers improved to 9-3-1 by whacking Miami 27-13. Frank Gore ran for 63 yards and went over 1,000 yards rushing for the sixth time in his career.
