NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Tennessee Titans by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
___
TENNESSEE TITANS (28)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 28) -- Gave Colts a scare.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 30) -- Jake Locker has not made the kind of progress they had hoped.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 26)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 28) -- Better finish strong for Mike Munchak's sake.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 28) -- Jake Locker outplays Andrew Luck early, but falters in second half with that stunning interception from his own 1-yard line. Game over.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 27) -- A big part of Tennessee's problem this season is its inability to compete in its own division. The Titans are 4-9 on the season and 0-5 in the AFC South.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 28) -- Sure glad these guys canned Chris Palmer. That seems to have straightened everything out.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 28) -- Chris Johnson will be geared up for a rare Monday night appearance.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 28) -- They fire offensive coordinator Chris Palmer two weeks ago and use a QB sneak on first-and-10 when they thought it was third-and-1.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 28) -- They had the Colts down and let them off the hook.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 27) -- The latest way for the Titans to fall -- getting outscored 20-3 in the second half of a 27-23 loss at Indianapolis.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 28) -- The Titans can write off the season to the education of Jake Locker.
