ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says Robert Griffin III will be the starter again once doctors say the rookie's sprained right knee has healed "100 percent." Shanahan said Monday that he hopes it's not too long before Griffin is cleared, but the coach gave no indication as to when he expects that to be.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- Washington Redskins tackle Jordan Black has been suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances. The league announced Monday that Black's suspension begins immediately and will include playoff games if the Redskins advance that far.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Washington Wizards point guard John Wall says he's not even contemplating missing the entire season and thinks there's "a 50-50 chance" his injured left knee will respond well when swelling subsides. Wall says Monday that swelling prevents him from testing his knee with on-court movement.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Isaac Sosa scored 24 points, shooting 8-for-12 from 3-point range, as Canisius defeated Longwood 82-54 in a nonconference game Monday night. The senior guard bettered his previous high of 15 points with the Golden Griffins, set in an 85-61 loss Saturday to Syracuse. He fell two points short of his collegiate high of 26, set three years ago when he played for Central Florida.
