RENTON, Wash. (AP) -- Cornerback Walter Thurmond has been activated from the physically unable to perform list to the active roster of the Seattle Seahawks, completing his return from two fractures in his lower left leg.
The Seahawks made the move Wednesday.
Seattle had a roster spot open after releasing wide receiver Charly Martin on Tuesday. Martin was re-signed to the practice squad Wednesday.
Thurmond was first injured last season against Cleveland when he suffered a broken fibula and significant ankle damage. During his rehabilitation early last year, Thurmond suffered another fracture setting back his recovery. He began practicing two weeks ago.
Thurmond has started four games and played in 19 combined in his first two NFL seasons.
