AP Pro32 comments about Eagles

Tuesday - 11/27/2012, 5:53pm  ET

NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Philadelphia Eagles by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

___

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (29)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 28) -- Even the rookies fumble.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 28) -- A team playing out the season -- poorly. Defense is simply horrible.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 29)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 29) -- Amazing how far they've fallen now with seven straight losses under Andy Reid.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 29) -- Five more games remaining before the Andy Reid era is no more.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 29) -- The Eagles are engulfed in a seven-game losing streak -- their longest such skid since the close of the 1998 season and start of the 1999 season.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 29) -- Call it the curse of Jim Johnson, but the Eagles haven't been the same since his death. Three defensive coordinators, a 32-27 record and no playoff wins are the proof.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 30) -- Five more weeks before Andy Reid gets his walking papers.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 30) -- How has that defense looked since Andy Reid fired Juan Castillo? Play the young kids the rest of the way and aim for 2013.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 30) -- The Eagles season continues to implode.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 30) -- The Eagles gave new meaning to the term "cover-zero" in last Monday night's loss to Carolina.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 30) -- It's too late for Bryce Brown to stop the ship from sinking.
