NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the New York Giants by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
___
NEW YORK GIANTS (7)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 6) -- What slump?
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 4) -- Tough opponents still bring out their best. That's a good sign.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 7)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 6) -- Playing like champions once again ... impressive beat down of the Packers got my attention.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 5) -- Defending champs break two-game streak with resounding win over the Packers, as Eli Manning breaks a three-game touchdown pass drought with three TD passes.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 8) -- The Giants have had four different wide receivers with 100-yard games this season. Eli Manning has plenty of options.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 9) -- In the last 11 months, they've beaten Green Bay twice, San Francisco twice and Atlanta. Guess that makes them the NFC favorite.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 7) -- This is still the team the Falcons and 49ers fear most in January.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 8) -- Classic Giants game this week as they rebound from a very sluggish month. Eli gets time to throw, the pass rush gets after the opposing QB and the winning formula is back.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 6) -- The Giants are done with the timeout I put them in with my rankings. Their victory against the Pack shows how good they can be. This is typically about the time Tom Coughlin and the G-Men work their magic.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 7) -- Think the Giants needed a break? A 38-10 pasting of Green Bay reflected a rejuvenated squad following a bye week.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 7) -- When they click, no team is better, as the Packers and 49ers could attest.
