NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Cleveland Browns by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
CLEVELAND BROWNS (25)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 24) -- Finally slayed Steelers dragon.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 21) -- This team is playing hard for Pat Shurmur. That could save him.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 26)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 25) -- Just their second win over the Steelers in the last 18 meetings, the defense was impressive!
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 26) -- Season might be lost, but beating Pittsburgh is good no matter what the record says. Browns force eight turnovers to shock the Ben Roethlisberger-less Stillers.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 26) -- Phil Dawson has been perfect for the Browns this season, converting all 21 of his field goal tries and all 20 of his conversions. He's hit all five of his field-goal tries from beyond 50 yards.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 28) -- It's never a good idea to have a white "surrender" flag giveaway before the season's over -- especially when players can participate.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 23) -- They play hard every week and this young defense has some promise.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 25) -- The Browns are a tough out for any team. A win over the Steelers at home goes a long way in Cleveland. Now two winnable games coming up that could change the fortunes for this coaching staff.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 28) -- The Browns take down the Steelers for the first time in a long while compliments of forcing eight Steeler turnovers.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 28) -- They converted eight Pittsburgh turnovers into only 20 points, but the Browns weren't playing for style points. Cleveland will happily take only the second victory against the Steelers in their past 18 meetings.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 25) -- Beating the Steelers could have been the start of something good for the Browns.
