WISE, Va. -- A new agreement gives graduates of the University of Virginia's College at Wise preferential admission to the Appalachian School of Law.
The agreement signed last week is effectively immediately.
The schools say in a news release that U.Va.-Wise graduates who meet the law school's criteria will be accepted for graduate work.
U.Va.-Wise chancellor Donna P. Henry tells the Bristol Herald Courier (http://bit.ly/1bjW2Ip ) that the agreement continues a relationship between the schools. She says the Appalachian College of Law has offered law school admission test prep classes at UVa-Wise in the past.
Appalachian College of Law director of development Karen Harvey says the school has a similar agreement with Berea College in Kentucky.
