WELLESLEY, Mass. (AP) -- Wellesley College has announced that its commencement speaker will be President Barack Obama's senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett.
A spokeswoman for the historic women's college outside Boston said Wednesday night Jarrett will speak at Wellesley's 135th commencement on May 31.
About 600 graduates are expected to attend the ceremonies.
Jarrett also leads the White House Council on Women and Girls.
Among Wellesley's graduates are former U.S. secretaries of state Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright.
