BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- Harford County's school superintendent says he will step down at the end of his four-year term in June.
Dr. Robert Tomback emailed school employees on Monday and said he will pursue other opportunities.
Tomback tells WBAL-AM (http://bit.ly/VFGCJI) that he is proud of the day-to-day work in the county's 54 schools.
The Board of Education will develop a plan for hiring a new superintendent.
