SEATTLE (AP) - The University of Alaska Anchorage and Seattle University are working together to offer a law school education for Alaskans.

The plan is an extension of the work the two universities are already doing together. The two schools have offered a summer law program in Anchorage for the past 10 years.

Students will be able to earn a juris doctorate degree from Seattle University while taking some classes on the Anchorage campus.

The plan requires further approvals including an OK from the American Bar Association. The schools especially hope to offer opportunities for rural and native Alaskans.
