SELBYVILLE, Del. - The Indian River School District is letting kids and parents report bullies anonymously by filling out an online form.
The school district has added a "bullying prevention" form to its website. Submitters have to name the school where the bullying occurred and are asked to supply as many details as possible. Once the form is submitted it will be sent to assistant principals at the school.
The Delaware Department of Education says there were just under 700 incidents of bullying reported during the last school year. That's an increase from prior years.
Lake Forest School District added a similar anonymous reporting feature to its website earlier this year. So far there have been 11 reports via the online system.
