WASHINGTON (AP) - Students at Catholic University in Washington are part of a revival in interest in the Irish language.
Few universities teach Irish, but classes at Catholic University drew 18 students this year, The Washington Post reports.
A 2009 survey by the Modern Language Association found just over 400 students enrolled in Irish-language classes in the United States. That's compared with 28 in 1980.
