RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- There will be another gubernatorial debate after all.
Officials at Virginia Tech and Roanoke's WDBJ-TV are confirming Wednesday that they will jointly be hosts for an Oct. 24 gubernatorial debate on the Blacksburg campus.
WDBJ news director Kelly Zuber said that both Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli have agreed in principle to the panel-style debate at Virginia Tech's Haymarket Theater with a few small details still being resolved.
Cuccinelli adviser Chris LaCivita and Ellen Qualls of McAuliffe's campaign confirmed that they've tentatively agreed.
Zuber said that currently, her station -- which will produce the debate -- and WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C., are carrying the debate live.
McAuliffe and Cuccinelli are scheduled to debate next week before the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.
